Job Title: Technical Lead, Macintosh Application Software

Key Responsibilities
- Directly participate in design and development of multimedia/networking software products for Mac desktop and notebook platforms.
- Architect Mac multimedia software frameworks for Sling Media products that address the requirements of Slingbox client software.
- Design and implement Mac software.
- Lead team of professionals working on complex software projects.
- Design, implementation and documentation of various project components.
- Integration of various product components and maintenance of product release process.
- Regular status updates and communication with management.
- Work with product definitions team, management and chief architect.
- Work with the QA group to track open issues, and close them on priority basis.
- Team code review and maintenance.
- Ensure that project source code follows company guidelines.
- Team members training and mentoring.
- Prepare and maintain project technical documentation following company guidelines.
Education and Experience Required
- B.E and/or MS/M.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA)
- Minimum 6 years of experience in design and development of Mac software
- Excellent knowledge of C++, object oriented design and multi-task programming.
- Knowledge of MFC, ATL and COM programming on Microsoft Windows platform is a plus.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of successfully leading mid-to-large scale Mac software projects.
- Solid knowledge of Mac platform, system architecture and different programming environments
- Strong multimedia background with the focus on streaming video and audio or networking is a plus
- Excellent problem analysis and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
- Must be able to lead a team of professionals, both within Sling Media as well as with outside consultants.
- Excellent people skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to team members and management.
- Must possess the ability to analyze requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Excellent project leading, communication, mentoring and teamwork skills.
- Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
